In addition to including the clinic in your will, you may name the clinic as a primary or contingent beneficiary for all or part of your retirement plan, life insurance policy, and investment or bank accounts. Suggested Language for a Simple Bequest to Alabama Free Clinic:
(a) I give, devise, and bequeath the sum of $ ______________ (or otherwise describe the gift or specify a percentage of the estate) to Alabama Free Clinic subject to its governing instruments, as amended from time to time.
(b) This gift shall be devoted to the general charitable and educational, purposes of Alabama Free Clinic as set forth in its governing instruments, as amended from time to time.
(c) This gift shall be devoted to the support of Alabama Free Clinic until such time as such charitable use, in the judgment of the Board of Directors of Alabama Free Clinic, shall have become unnecessary, undesirable, impracticable, incapable of fulfillment, or inconsistent with the charitable needs of Baldwin County community. In any such event, the gift shall be devoted to a similar purpose as originally intended if possible, or it shall be devoted to the general charitable and educational purposes of Alabama Free Clinic as set forth in its governing instruments, as amended from time to time.
